The tiny handbook to CS was made in collaboration with fellow students, and with the support of the Creative Sustainability master’s programme. It offered newcomers some help at the beginning of their studies at Aalto University. In this handbook, new students could find support for planning their studies and ideas for imagining where this programme could lead them. It included tips for making the personal study plan, an overview of the master’s structure and compulsory courses, and a list of five inspirational thematic blocks.
The guiding handbook was made to bring together insightful information gathered through several workshops and surveys, in which CS students reflected on their choices along their studies and pathways for the future. After processing the data, we compiled the compulsory and elective courses into five thematic blocks (or professional profiles) that grouped relevant courses to each theme. The result was printed into an A3 foldable leaflet with a simple, clear layout, and abstract illustrations to spark curiosity.

El pequeño manual de CS fue realizado en colaboración con estudiantes y con el apoyo de la maestría Creative Sustainability. Ofrece ayuda a nuevos estudiantes al principio de sus estudios en la Universidad Aalto. En el manual, nuevos estudiantes pueden encontrar apoyo para crear el plan de estudios e ideas para imaginar a dónde podría dirigirlos el programa en el futuro. Incluye consejos para concretar el plan de estudio, una descripción general de la estructura de la maestría y de las asignaturas obligatorias, y una lista de cinco bloques temáticos inspiradores.
Este manual fue realizado con el objetivo de agrupar información útil, recolectada a través de varios talleres y encuestas en los cuales estudiantes de CS reflejaron sus elecciones de estudio y sus planes a futuro. Luego de procesar la información, se compiló a las asignaturas obligatorias y electivas en cinco bloques temáticos (o perfiles profesionales), agrupando asignaturas relevantes para cada tema. El resultado es un folleto A3 plegable con una presentación simple y clara, que incluye ilustraciones abstractas con la intención de generar curiosidad.
